Combine harvester fault in Pickering sets corn field on fire
A combine harvester caught fire in a blaze which ignited a two-acre corn field.
North Yorkshire fire crews put out the flames in a field in Newbridge, near Pickering, at around 6.30pm yesterday.
Firefighters had to use breathing equipment and thermal imaging cameras to tackle the blaze after a mechanic fault caused the farming machine to catch fire.
