A huge fight erupted between two groups of teenagers leading to a car windscreen being smashed, police have said.

Police in Skipton are looking for witnesses to the altercation which happened in the town on Wednesday evening.

North Yorkshire Police said a "large-scale" fight broke out on Cavendish Street at around 8.30pm involving mid- to late-teenage males.

A silver car is believed to have left the scene with a smashed rear windscreen.

We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for information from witnesses, CCTV or dash-cam footage.
