Eric Clapton to play Leeds arena

The First Direct Arena in Leeds today scored a major coup as it announced a show by guitar legend Eric Clapton.

Clapton, famed for hits such as Layla and I Shot The Sheriff, will be playing the £60m venue on Sunday, June 22.

The concert will be the superstar’s only English date on his new tour.

Tickets go on sale at 9am this Friday, (January 31) priced from £50.
