Bringing forth to 2018, Koyo have toured the country throughout April whilst building up a loyal following, steadily gaining a fan base and sense of renewed confidence in their own abilities.
The band were on form for their homecoming show at the Brudenell Social Club in Leeds, showcasing their self-titled debut album and upcoming single Jettisoned.
Starting out with album opener Strange Bird In The Sky, the audience were on their feet from the first note to the last.
Filling out a venue as an upcoming band on a rainy Sunday evening is no mean feat, but KOYO’s determination and passion is now generating the buzz it rightly deserves.
Festival dates are on the way with Live at Leeds and Download festival to name a few, and the band are now a highly competent and worthy addition to both these bills.
Not every band gets that moment, the hint that big things are on the horizon, but the atmosphere in the venue suggested this was KOYO’s defining turning point, a historic hometown show to firmly stake a claim in the city and beyond.
