The concert will take place after racing on June 28 as Yorkshire’s two leading racetracks confirm their musical line-ups for 2014.

As well as the Leeds band, legendary rockers Status Quo will perform live after racing on May 17 while James Blunt will take to the stage on August 16.

Meanwhile York has recently announced that The Beach Boys and Wet Wet Wet will perform on the Knavesmire at the end of July.

Doncaster, whose summer concerts attracted 40,000 spectators last year, is delighted to have signed up The Kaiser Chiefs – their number one hit single, Ruby, has become synonymous with the top Irish rider Ruby Walsh who is tipped to be amongst the winners at next week’s Cheltenham Festival.

Managing director Mark Spincer said: “The Kaiser Chiefs are bound to strike a chord with music lovers in Doncaster and beyond. We’re expecting large crowds for a great day’s racing and some top-class entertainment

Adult tickets start from just £31 while children’s tickets are £11. Hospitality options are available from £103.20. Log onto Doncaster’s website or call 01302 304200 to buy tickets.
