Once installed double deckers will be able to pass underneath as they travel down Carr Lane.
City of Culture was expected to draw in 1m visitors over the year - so it appears they are a third of their way to their target already.

“The reaction has been incredible. We should be incredibly proud of our city and should seize the opportunities as it takes its place on the national stage.”
Martin Green, CEO and Director Hull 2017 said: “It’s been a phenomenal first week for Hull UK City of Culture 2017 and we’ve been blown away by the reaction. I would particularly like to thank the team, Hull City Council, the blue light services and of
course our volunteers for making it run smoothly.

“With so many wildly differing events taking place throughout the rest of the year, I hope people will continue to be excited and urge everyone to be adventurous and try things out they might not have considered before.”
Blade will remain in Queen Victoria Square until March 18.
