Questions and Answers

Several of my potted plants seem to be troubled by vine weevils in the compost. What's the best way of getting rid of them?

Vine weevils make their presence felt when healthy-looking plants collapse and die, their roots eaten by the soil-borne pest.

If you are sure that vine weevils are a problem on plants growing in pots, drench the compost with a solution of BugClear Ultra Vine Weevil Killer.

Applied now, it will control any larvae that have recently hatched and could otherwise eat plant roots to kill off the plant.
