AdviserPlus provides outsourced HR, health and safety, payroll and transactional services for large organisations and many FTSE 100 companies across the UK.

The firm, which plans to expand its number of staff from around 80 to 160, has signed a new lease until 2020 for an additional 7,500 sq ft of office space at The Waterfront in Shipley.

The move takes its total office accommodation at the site to 15,000 sq ft.

The company moved into 3,000 sq ft at The Waterfront in 2009 with 13 staff and within a year it had already outgrown the space.

Duncan Jubb, financial and commercial director at AdviserPlus, said the company was focusing on international expansion in 2014.

It is expanding into Ireland, the Channel Islands and Gibraltar and is also looking to spread further into Europe in 2014.

Closer to home it works with UK Asset Resolution, which is managing the mortgage books of failed lenders Northern Rock and Bradford and Bingley.

Mr Jubb said: “We have enjoyed sustained and significant growth since establishing our offices at The Waterfront and it has been fantastic to expand within our existing base to eliminate any disruption to the business, the staff and our customers.

“We have a number of new contracts in the pipeline and our larger offices will enable us to recruit in accordance with these. We are committed to creating jobs within the locality and look forward to expanding the business in the forthcoming months.”

GMI Developments acquired the 40,000 sq ft office building five years ago following its earlier development by sister company, GMI Construction. Other tenants include Macmillan Cancer Support, Red Embedded and community energy specialist ENER-G Switch2.
