Appointments: RFM appoints new chief as group goes on aggressive growth strategy

Newly-rebranded facilities management provider RFM Group has appointed Steve Baker as chief executive to help support its aggressive growth strategy. Mr Baker joined the Leeds-based group as a consultant and advised on the firm’s three-year aggressive growth strategy.

Vivien Morgan has been appointed managing director of financial recruitment firm ABPM. Ms Morgan, whose background encompasses a number of executive roles in service-led industries including energy, hospitality and the education sector, will further developing the Wakefield firm’s extensive existing regional client base. The business specialises in appointing finance and accountancy professionals on a temporary, interim and permanent basis.

Bar restaurant chain Revolution has appointed Nathan McManus as head of food development to lead its training centre in York and help spearhead the company’s food growth plans. Mr McManus will be responsible for food innovation by developing new dishes and expanding Revolution’s menu offering at its 66 bars across the UK. He joins the company from frozen food supplier, KK Fine Foods where he was a development chef.

Payments technology and pre-paid card provider Contis Group has appointed Andi Lonnen as its new financial director. Ms Lonnen joins the Skipton-based group having previously worked as group financial controller of The Private Health Partnership in Baildon and finance director of its subsidiary, Medical Care Direct.

Bradford University School of Management has appointed four internationally recognised business leaders to its advisory board. The new members are Salman Dawood Abdulla, vice president, operations, of Emirates Aluminium based in Abu Dhabi; Peter Foy, chairman of Creative Tank; Aleem Sheikh, vice president of strategic partnerships of BP, based in Beijing; and Kate Swann, group chief executive of WH Smith.

Accountancy firm BDO has appointed Simon Pringle as head of its new sustainability and climate change practice. Mr Pringle, who will primarily split his time between Leeds and London, will lead a team across the firm’s central and regional network that provides strategic advisory services and tailored offerings to clients. He was previously a partner at a global management consultancy and is one of the founding trustees of Carbon Leapfrog.
