Appointments: Town and country role for estate agent’s new recruit

Property agency Savills has appointed Peter Moody to lead its Harrogate residential business. He is tasked with growing the town market in Harrogate as well as the country house market. He previously launched Hudson Moody in York in 1996, growing it to six offices by 2010.

Law firm Clarion has expanded its commercial team with the appointment of Fiona Marr as associate. She joins the Leeds-based team from Scottish commercial law firm Harper Macleod.

Trust Print Consultants has appointed fulfilment expert Lisa East. Ms East has over 15 years experience in the fulfilment, direct marketing and direct mailing sector and will be advising the Dewsbury-based firm’s clients on how best to communicate with their clients and reach out to potential customers through their printed material.

Property agency DTZ has strengthened its industrial and logistics team in Leeds with the appointment of Jacques Esterhuizen as a surveyor. Mr Esterhuizen joins from Sanderson Young to work on DTZ’s industrial instructions across Yorkshire.

Law firm Irwin Mitchell has strengthened its personal injury team in Leeds with three appointments and two promotions. Mark Tempest joins as a partner in the serious injury team from Hempsons in Harrogate, while solicitors James Thompson and Anna Bosley have both joined the medical law and patients’ rights team.

Nicola Perrott has qualified as a solicitor in the serious injury team having joined Irwin Mitchell as a paralegal, and Kate Eccles has joined the medical law team having also completed her training at the firm.

Claire Turner, director of personal taxation services at chartered accountants Winburn Glass Norfolk has been made a partner. She has worked with a wide range of clients for more than nine years at the Leeds-based firm, advising on both simple and complex tax matters.

Accountancy firm Lithgow Perkins has appointed two new partners as it positions itself for future growth. Mike Briggs joined the Harrogate-based firm at the end of 2010 from RSM Tenon, while Joe Taylor, has worked at the firm since graduating from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2003.

Patent and trade mark attorneys Withers & Rogers has appointed a new partner to extend its specialist support to electronics, computing and physics businesses. John-Paul Rooney joins the Sheffield-based firm from Appleyard Lees where he worked as senior associate.

Law firm Beachcroft has appointed Paul Davison as partner in its Leeds professional and financial risk group. He was previously a partner at Eversheds in Newcastle and Manchester.
