Augean delivers results in line with expectations

WASTE and resource management specialist Augean today said it had achieved results in line with expectations despite the tough economic climate.

In the half year ended June 30 2011, revenue including landfill tax increased by 19 per cent to £19.4m. The company posted an adjusted profit after tax loss of £100,000 compared with a loss of £300,000 in the same period the year before.

The Wetherby-based company said it had continued to secure work from large scale remediation projects.

Commenting on the results, Paul Blackler, the company’s chief executive, said: “Results are in line with board expectations despite very competitive market conditions.

“Although there has been a softening of the recovery seen in H2 2010 we have continued to win project work and add new customers through the sales and business development teams.”
