Bewley’s gets the smell of Bolling Coffee

A Yorkshire-based coffee firm is set for further growth after being bought by an Irish company.

Bewley’s yesterday announced the acquisition of the coffee roaster Bolling Coffee, which is based in Meltham, near Huddersfield in West Yorkshire, for an undisclosed sum.

Bewley’s bought London based Darlington’s Coffee in 2011. Mazars’ corporate finance team in Leeds, led by Oliver Hoffman and Alex Baskeyfield, advised Bolling Coffee on its sale to Bewley’s, which is based in Ireland.

Bolling’s managing director Ian Balmforth said: “Combining the two companies provides a very exciting opportunity for Bolling to grow further.”

Gordons and A&L Goodbody advised on the legal aspects of the deal.
