It also bought another firm Intelligent Capture in August, a day after its financial year end.

Earnings of £2m exceeded expectations by 11 per cent and were up 62 per cent on last year following cost synergies and its high-margin acquisitions.

Proactis enters the new year with a record order book of £14.3m.

Rod Jones, the group’s CEO, said: “Proactis is now effectively double the size of a year ago as a result of its three acquisitions and the group is trading well in advance of today’s reported results. The board continues to review appropriate M&A opportunities as part of its growth strategy.
