Britcare added to Tradebe's portfolio

A YORKSHIRE-based firm which disposes of clinical waste has been bought for an undisclosed sum.

Law firm Pannone has advised Tradebe on its acquisition of Doncaster-based Britcare. Britcare, which has 32 staff and a turnover of more than 3.5m, provides collection disposal services for clinical waste through a processing technology and a range of specialist vehicles.

It has operations in Doncaster and Birmingham. Tradebe, which operates internationally in Europe and North America, employs more than 1,000 people and has a turnover of more than 200m euros.

Following the acquisition, Tradebe has 10 UK sites that offer a range of treatments for the disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.

Philip Treanor, head of corporate finance at Manchester-based Pannone, said: "We have advised Tradebe UK for a number of years as they have continued to expand their operations across the UK and internationally. The latest acquisition is an excellent fit."

Tradebe UK country manager, Mark Olpin, said he anticipated significant growth for the new division following the completion of the deal.
