Buyers are found for four pubs of the R&L estate

FOUR pubs in Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire, which formed part of the R&L pub estate, have been sold.

The R&L portfolio, comprising 126 pubs, was put up for sale earlier this year after the company went into administration.

Pub sector advisers Christie and Co, which is marketing the pubs on behalf of administrator PricewaterhouseCoopers, has sold 38 and agreed deals on a further 31, with many others subject to offers.

Many of these pubs are being sold as investments with tenants in place, although some have been sold with vacant possession. The four pubs in Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire are: The Crown Inn at Askrigg in Leyburn, the Fiddlers Inn in Hemingfield, the Nags Head in Hull, and Mint in Scunthorpe.

All were sold around or over their guide prices, which have not been disclosed.

There are around 10 more pubs in the Yorkshire area which remain on the market but for which advisers Christie and Co is receiving off- ers.

The pubs were owned by R&L Properties, previously part of the pub portfolio of property investor Robert Tchenguiz.
