Cameraman goes mobile with breakthrough inflatable television studio

A CAMERAMAN from Yorkshire has launched a mobile television studio.

FreeDome is a full service mobile research and television recording studio complete with light, sound and film crew.

The studio inflates in minutes to provide an instant cocooned environment that cuts out background noise and interference whilst encouraging the interview subject to relax and speak freely to camera.

It is the brain child of commercial film producer and former BBC lighting cameraman Paul Kerrigan, from Leeds. For the last decade, Paul has run his own corporate and commercial film production company, Alter Image TV.

He said: “One way or another, broadcast content now plays a critical role in most events, whether that be capturing keynote speaker interviews and delegate feedback to web stream to remote audiences, to inform corporate videos or create a compelling showcase that will sell next year’s event.

“Unfortunately, most event venues are simply not set up to be ideal film environments; cluttered scenery, flat lighting, background noise interference all conspire to make the film appear a lot less impressive than the real time experience.”
