Campaign to celebrate small businesses set to make two stops in Yorkshire later this year

Small Business Saturday, a not-for-profit campaign that celebrates small businesses, has announced that its national roadshow will make two stops in Yorkshire later this year.

The campaign, which encourages consumers to shop locally and support businesses in their communities, will stop in Ryedale on 7 November, before going on to stop in York the following day.

Local small businesses will have the chance to join in and be featured by the campaign when it visits.

“It is more important than ever that we support and recognise their efforts. The Tour will showcase these exceptional and innovative small businesses, and the amazing contribution they make to local areas, whilst also offering them vital support both in-person and online.”

Supported by BT, the tour will begin in Inverness on 30 October, before travelling around the UK for a month. Outside Yorkshire, destinations will include Fife, Glasgow, Belfast, Chester, Newcastle and Manchester.

The campaign, which is now in its second decade in the UK, is backed by principal supporter American Express.
