Cherie to speak at major Forward event
CHERIE Blair will be the keynote speaker at a major business event organised by the Leeds-based networking and support group Forward Ladies, it was revealed yesterday.
The wife of former Prime Minister Tony Blair has accepted an invitation to speak at the event, to be held at the Hilton Hotel in Manchester on February 10, 2011. Forward Ladies, founded by Etta Cohen, is the north of England's largest support organisation for female entrepreneurs.
Mrs Blair will not receive a fee for speaking, but a donation will be made to the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women, which helps female entrepreneurs. Ms Cohen said: "As an organisation which supports women in business across the North of England, we believe our members can draw inspiration from what Cherie Blair has to say.
