The Chinese Buffet to begin serving in city with creation of 40 jobs

A GROWING Chinese restaurant chain is to create 40 jobs with the opening of a new site in Bradford city centre.

The Chinese Buffet is fitting out the new restaurant in Centenary Square after agreeing a deal on a 6,000 sq ft unit with the landlord Rush- bond.

The chain opened its first restaurant in Bolton and has since gone on to establish seven restaurants across the North of England and Wales. The restaurant will accommodate 180 diners and is due to open in March.

Richard Baker, of Rushbond, said: “We’re delighted to welcome The Chinese Buffet to Centenary Square and it’s fantastic that the development is once again fully occupied.

“We considered several options from a number of potential tenants but we’re confident that The Chinese Buffet, which has enjoyed plenty of success in other towns and cities throughout the region, has a great formula that is hugely successful and will complement the other businesses and organisations at Centenary Square.”

Peter Wu, managing director of The Chinese Buffet, added: “We’re very excited to be opening this restaurant in a great location in the heart of Bradford city centre. The success of our other restaurants is based on our ability to offer exceptional food, great value for money and fantastic service and this is exactly what we’re striving to replicate in Bradford.”

The opening of The Chinese Buffet comes just two months after Bradford’s City Library relocated into a unit at Centenary Square which houses approximately 60,000 books as well as 40 computers with the Impressions Gallery above it on the first floor. Other occupiers at the development include Nandos, Starbucks, Forsters Bistro, J D Wetherspoon and Bradford College.
