Clyde Process Solutions wins £1.4m Anglo American order

CLYDE Process Solutions notched up a £1.4m order with mining giant Anglo American and said it is seeing increasing interest.

The Doncaster-based business will supply a complete pneumatic conveying system for its nickel operation, based in Niquelndia, Brazil.

Anglo American, which is listed on the London and Johannesburg stock exchanges, operates a portfolio of mining businesses spanning metals and minerals.

Alex Stewart, chief executive of Clyde Process Solutions, said: "We are delighted to have secured this order from Anglo American, a company that has been a tremendous customer of ours in recent years across the precious metals market.

"Our South American subsidiary has established a strong relationship with Anglo American's team in Brazil and we look forward to delivering a value-adding solution for their nickel operation.

"This order was secured at competitive levels of contribution and is in line with management expectations.

"We have seen a significant upturn in enquiries across all our key customer markets and geographical territories and we continue to work closely with these prospects in an effort to convert these opportunities into orders during this financial year."

On Tuesday the group also announced a 1m order from a leading producer of PVC.
