Contract provides safety beneath waves

A company which designs and manufactures air supply systems for submarines and divers has won a contract with the Royal Netherlands Navy after launching a new gas monitoring product.

Analox Sensor Technology, based in Stokesley, North Yorkshire, will supply nine Sub Aspidas, which monitor oxygen and carbon dioxide, for its four submarines. Vicky Brown, sales and marketing director, said: "The Royal Netherlands Navy requires accurate dual-gas monitoring in a compact unit, in an environment which is prone to fluctuations in atmospheric pressure."
