Crestron sets up centre of excellence in city

Crestron was founded in a small second-storey office in Cresskill, New Jersey, by George Feldstein in 1969.

The company designs and manufactures products to control audio, video, computer, and environmental systems for commercial buildings, universities, hotels, hospitals and homes.

It has offices all over the world, employing 3,000 staff in the US, UK, Ireland, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Russia, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, China, South Korea, Taiwan, India, Japan, Australia, Mexico and Brazil.

Forty per cent of its $500m turnover is ploughed back into research and development.

The company employs 60 staff in the UK.
