Crisis in eurozone continues to hurt business
Manufacturers in Yorkshire are remaining resilient due to growth in emerging markets and the strength of the region’s civil aerospace and motor vehicle industry, according to a survey released today by EEF, the manufacturers’ organisation, and business advisers BDO LLP.
The second quarter manufacturing outlook survey shows that output and orders in the region remained in positive territory over the last three months at +32 and +38 per cent respectively. But the continuing economic uncertainty and fears over the eurozone have taken a toll on confidence, the survey showed.
