Daisy Group to pursue acquisitions

TELECOMS firm Daisy Group today revealed that it was seeking acquisitions after completing a bank funding.

The company's revenue, adjusted EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortisation) and operating losses for the 15 months ended March 31 2010 were 134.4m, 11m and 17.5m, respectively.

The company said it was difficult to compare reported results for 2010 and 2008 as a result of the significant acquisitions, disposals and restructuring which had occurred during these periods.

Hull-based KCom recently signed a three-year contract with Daisy Group to provide it with call handling services.

Matthew Riley, the chief executive of Daisy Group, said: "These results demonstrate the progress we have made towards our aim of becoming one of the largest UK providers of unified communications services and solutions to the SME and mid-market sector.

"We have integrated acquired businesses on schedule, providing significant cost savings which will be reflected in our results for the year to March 31 2011. We have in place the platform, the systems, the people and the product set to allow us to continue to grow organically and by further acquisitions.

"The recently completed bank funding provides the group with the capability to pursue future acquisitions and we look forward to the coming financial year with confidence."
