Deals save 285jobs at Ainsleys
Almost 285 jobs have been saved after buyers were found for most of Leeds-based bakery business Ainsleys, which went into administration last year.
In the deal, brokered by Grant Thornton’s Leeds office, Countrystyle Foods, of Leeds, has bought the Ainsleys bakery business and name while 20 of the firm’s 29 retail outlets have been split between Cooplands of Scarborough and Cooplands of Doncaster. The sandwich van business goes to A W Food Services.
