Dentists get teeth into Raglan practice

SIX North Yorkshire dentists and a clinical dental technician have completed the management buyout of an Harrogate dental practice and implant centre for an undisclosed sum.

Steve Byfield and his six-strong management team acquired the Raglan Suite practice from Irish corporate Smiles Dental. North East-based accountancy firm UNW advised the team on buying out the practice, which employs 15 staff. Its former parent company Smiles Corporation said the practice “no longer fitted into” its portfolio.

The seven, who each focus on a different area of dentistry, have taken an equal shareholding. The practice declined to disclose turnover.
