DML on the frontline for capital project

FACADES and shopfront specialist DML has been appointed to a project worth around £1m at the St James’s Gateway development in London’s West End.

Leeds-based DML, which was selected by property management company and main contractor Lend Lease, is providing bronze shopfronts for the ground floor, along with glazed roof lights and cladding to the stairwell of the mixed-use development located between Piccadilly and Jermyn Street.

The scheme will consolidate seven existing buildings into one new building and one refurbished listed property, and comprises 57,000 sq ft of commercial office space, 21,000 sq ft of retail and 19,000 sq ft of residential units.

It is due to be completed by mid 2013. DML (Drawn Metal Group) has a turnover of £8m and 53 staff.
