DoubleTree hotel brand makes a Mint

The Mint Hotel in Leeds has officially joined the DoubleTree by Hilton brand following its acquisition by private equity company the Blackstone Group last September.

The hotel, located adjacent to Leeds City Station, is one of eight Mint Hotels across the UK and the Netherlands joining the Hilton Worldwide portfolio of hotels as DoubleTree by Hilton or Hilton Garden Inn properties after they were sold for a reported £600m, believed to be one of the largest hotel deals in Europe for four years.

The Leeds hotel was originally built as part of the City Inn portfolio in 2009 but the group was rebranded Mint a year later.
