Ella Georgia the face of the Shop Small campaign in the North
Launching this year, Small Business Saturday UK will highlight the success of small businesses, encouraging people to ‘shop local’ and support small businesses in their communities.
It is supported by American Express, which founded it in the United States in 2010 for small business organisations, trade bodies, local authorities and community groups.

The Small Business Saturday UK 100 list of businesses will be promoted as part of the initiative.
Ella Georgia, which was founded a decade ago, says all its products, which encompass jewellery and fashion, are ethically sourced with minimal impact to the environment.
“I’m delighted that Ella Georgia has been chosen as one of the top 100 small businesses featured in the Small Business Saturday 100 and selected by Amex to represent their Shop Small movement in the North,” said Sian Foster, owner of Boroughbridge-based Ella Georgia. “Together with the local chamber of commerce, I have been championing our local high street in Boroughbridge and this could give us a well-deserved boost before Christmas.”

“Being small means we can react quickly to customers’ needs, offering bespoke items and a very personal service.”
