Emis on a roll as more GPs sign up
Emis Group has a diverse range of business interests as well as its core software focus.
It owns the medical advice website patient.co.uk, which was established in 1997 as a resource for non-medical users in the UK.
The site is fronted by celebrity GP Dr Sarah Jarvis and edited by medical professionals.

Hide AdEmis also has about 20 per cent of online pharmacy website Pharmacy2U, which recently appointed former HBOS chief executive Andy Hornby as its chairman.
The Leeds-based business was founded in 1999 and is the UK’s fastest-growing online pharmacy.
Emis also has its newly-formed business intelligence arm, Emis IQ, which holds more than 39 million patient records. It recently won a six-year contract with the NHS Information Centre.
