Family law specialist appointed director at Lupton

Rachel Roebuck has been promoted to the role of director at the Leeds and Sheffield-based commercial law firm Lupton Fawcett.

The Deputy District Judge and family law specialist joined the firm in 2010 to establish its Absolute Family department, which gives legal aid to clients in South Yorkshire. The assurance, tax and advisory firm Grant Thornton has appointed David Claybrook and Gemma Denny to its business risk service team, advising clients in the north of England on risk management and governance. Mr Claybrook has worked in internal audit for 12 years with organisations including Cumbria County Council and Durham University.

Ms Denny joins the team as an executive, having previously been a senior auditor with Wakefield Council.

Rory Ingram has been appointed national development manager of energy management consultancy Orchard Energy, where he has worked as energy consultant and regional manager.

The newly created role will see him help significant energy consumers improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.

Corporate audit and accounts specialist Jonathan Davis has joined the Harrogate office of national accountancy firm Saffery Champness.

Previously associate director of RSM Tenon’s audit and accounts team, he will help expand the firm’s private wealth, rural business and corporate tax divisions.

Paul Burkinshaw has become a partner at law firm Clarion, joining its dispute resolution practice. Previously head of commercial litigation and construction at Last Cawthra Feather, he will lead the development of Clarion’s property and construction litigation service.

Ian Warner has been appointed finance director at the Leeds headquarters of national dental corporate Genix Healthcare.
