Funding injection for group that can help clean up the workplace

IF your workplace is plagued with insects, then there’s a fast growing Yorkshire firm that could prove to be your saviour.

Sheffield-based hygiene product wholesalers, Hygequip Europe, has expanded its UK business thanks to a new £150,000 funding line from NatWest including a £100,000 Enterprise Finance Guarantee (EFG) loan.

The company, which has 25 staff and a turnover of around £5.5m, is one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of hygiene and insect control products in Europe.

It specialises in aircare, washroom, insect control, waste disposal and catering equipment.

Its products include a range of dispensers, aerosols and hand dryers. The new funding means the company will be able to increase its range of services to both its UK and overseas customers. The company also hopes to hire more staff soon.

Matt Haslam, Hygequip director, said: “We’re delighted to have been able to secure this extra funding. We’re already one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of this type of product in Europe and to be able to increase our range and manufacturing possibilities in this way is invaluable to our continued growth.

“To begin with our priority will be to improve our offering to customers but we anticipate that this will eventually create around four new manufacturing jobs within the company.”

Jon Shaw, relationship director for NatWest Commercial banking in South Yorkshire, said: “I am delighted to have been able to support Matt and his team with this package.”
