Funding lifeline for Askew

Askew Design & Print dates from 1922, when George William Askew established a printing business in Doncaster Market Place.

Askew will be run and managed by its purchaser, Sheffield-based specialist print company Whitesprint.

Whitesprint is also part of the Seneca investment portfolio after receiving a £200,000 injection which secured 37 jobs, five weeks ago.

“Aligned with our predictions that the printing industry – beset by challenges like many others – is moving towards significant consolidation, the combined expertise of Askews and Whitesprint will leverage their position in the Yorkshire market- place.”

The business is being sold by James Askew, the great grandson of the founder.

Sheffield-based Strategic Corporate Finance and Kate Novakovic at Ironmonger Curtis acted on behalf of Askew Design & Print, while hlw Keeble Hawson represented Seneca.
