Gordons expands with solicitor appointments

Gordons has added a further four solicitors to its growing practice.

The appointments span its commercial and private teams and include three recruits from rival firms and a newly-qualified hire.

James Sweetzer joined the firm’s commercial property department, Mark Heppinstall its private client team and Paul Cantwell the commercial litigation team.

Amanda Hughes has also been recruited into Gordons’ corporate team, after completing her two-year training contract.

Gordons’ managing partner Paul Ayre said: “We’re constantly looking for lawyers with talent, who want to be part of our continuing success story. We’re delighted to have all four aboard and are confident they will do well here.”

Yorkshire firm Gordons has offices in Leeds, Bradford and London, employing 265 people. Its turnover is more than £22.9m.

Clients include Wm Morrison Supermarkets plc, construction and high performance materials manufacturer Saint Gobain, international brewers Molson Coors and global leading electrical heating business Glen Dimplex.
