HML's aim after key appointment

HML, the Skipton-based financial outsourcing firm, is gearing up for significant expansion into the savings and loans markets with the appointment of Ian Cornelius, the former director of banking at Virgin Money.

Mr Cornelius joins HML as director of savings and unsecured lending. He has also held senior roles at Bradford & Bingley and Capital One. HML plans to become a 'one stop shop' for the administration of savings and lending products. The firm already provides outsourced mortgage administration services to more than 30 UK and Irish financial institutions and has more than 40bn assets under management.

Neil Warman, chief commercial and finance officer at HML, said: "Expanding into these new markets is central to HML's strategy."
