Home help company’s jobs plan

YOUNG entrepreneur Blessing Maragere from Harehills in Leeds has started a new home help and cleaning company which he hopes will create 18 jobs.

Mr Maragere, who has won support from Dragons’ Den star Theo Paphitis, started a Wellshine franchise offering tailor-made home help services.

The 19-year-old said: “I started my first business when I was just 16 years old. I went on to study the Theo Paphitis entrepreneurship degree at Huddersfield University and after my second year now have Theo as my business mentor.

“I wanted to start a franchise that I knew would help the community in Leeds. I know from experience and talking to friends and family that the current elderly support system is unaffordable and often not good enough.

“I saw a gap in the market. I want to give the elderly residents of the local area an improved service and the opportunity to carry on living in their own homes for as long as possible.”

Wellshine operates franchises around the country.
