Honouring property kings

SOME of the region's best property developments and personalities have been highlighted at the Yorkshire Property Awards 2010.

The event at Rudding Park in Harrogate named John Bywater, managing director of Caddick Developments as Property Personality of the Year.

Other awards included Best Architect for Bowman Riley Architects and Best Commercial Development, picked up by Downing for Leeds Metropolitan University's Broadcasting Place. The Regeneration/Corporate Social Responsibility award went to MEPC for its 1m investment in Wellington Place, Leeds, while Best Contractor went to Southdale.

Best Agency Team for retail, office, industrial and investment were voted for electronically on the night.

King Sturge took the prizes for retail and office, while Gent Visick scooped the industrial category and Knight Frank picked up the investment award.
