A Yorkshire-based housebuilder has submitted plans to deliver its first development.

Sheffield-based Honey, which launched in October last year, has revealed plans for a £14m development of 50 homes in the village of South Normanton, Derbyshire.

If permission is granted by Bolsover District Council, work on the development is anticipated to start in the spring with the first residents expected to move into their new homes this December.

Honey was founded by former Avant Homes chief executive officer, Mark Mitchell.

“We know there is strong demand for high quality, high specification new homes in South Normanton so we are pleased to submit our plans for consideration by Bolsover District Council.”

As well as providing new homes for the area, if planning permission is granted, Honey will also make a £160,000 contribution to initiatives that will benefit the local community.
