The entrepreneur will speak about devolution and the opportunities for Yorkshire business as the Government prepares to transfer powers to the regions.

Mr Hollinrake said: “A strategic and disciplined approach to business finance is essential for any ambitious company who wants to make the most of the good times and successfully weather the storm when the going gets tough. I am delighted to help recognise the vital contribution that finance directors make to the Yorkshire economy.”

The judging session has now taken place and a spokeswoman for the sponsors said “it has been a difficult task to separate the award winners from such an outstanding crop of finalists”. Judges analysed commercial and managerial skills.

The awards ceremony takes place at Aspire in Leeds on November 12. Tickets can be bought from Nina Butterfield on 0113 242 1200.
