Southerns, which supplies fixtures, fittings and equipment (FF&E) to organisations across a range of sectors, currently has almost £10m turnover.

Its new service will enable developers, consultants and users to create tailor-made solutions that put interiors at the heart of designs.

Southerns will advise developers on best practice at initial design stage, helping to reduce risk in the on-going management of workplaces and combat the problem of “interiors treated as an afterthought”.

Andrew Kendall-Jones, principal and founder of the Leeds-based firm, said: “For too long, the role of suppliers in our sector has been one-dimensional.

“By approaching the situation in a more collaborative and consultative way, we’re able to get a real understanding of what our customers need and deliver a bespoke solution and sustainable FF&E strategy that takes the pressure off them.

“We have a strong conviction that big thinking can equate to big delivery and tangible results for our clients.”

As part of its growth strategy, Southerns has made significant changes to its brand and welcomed new employees.

“This positions us well to take advantage of new opportunities,” Mr Kendall-Jones added.
