‘Invigorated’ bank appoints new regional team to back business

YORKSHIRE Bank yesterday revealed that it had appointed a new business and private banking team in its eastern region, which stretches from Newcastle to Lincoln.

Alan Young, who has been with Yorkshire and Clydesdale Bank for 37 years, has become the regional director for the east.

Mr Young and his new team will be responsible for Yorkshire Bank’s business and private banking centres in Newcastle, Stockton, York, Hull, Bradford, Doncaster, Sheffield and Lincoln, as well as the regional hub in Leeds.

David Maybury has been appointed as the head of the regional hub at the business and private banking centre in Leeds.

Darren Owers has become head of commercial and small business banking, while Dan Rosinke, heads up the corporate banking team. In other appointments, Cath Worsley has become head of private banking and Paul Grace leads the business development team.

Mr Young said: “This is a new and invigorated Yorkshire Bank with the experience, resources and appetite to support businesses with a strong proposition to enable them to grow.

“Our new East region team comprises talented and respected banking professionals. The team is recognised for its expertise in working with businesses of all sizes, across many sectors and with the ability to understand their precise needs, the challenges they face and how we can help.

Mr Young joined Clydesdale Bank, Yorkshire Bank’s sister company, in 1975 as a student.

He has completed a four-year secondment in New Zealand where he became regional director of the Bank of New Zealand, which is based in Auckland.
