JT secures German partnership

Shower tray manufacturer JT has signed a deal with a German wholesaler to sell their line of bathroom products in Germany.

The Leeds-based firm signed a regional strategic partnership with Konig, who have 16 branches in eight showrooms, to bring JT's collection of designer trays to the 2.2bn euro German market.

JT, which manufactures over 5,000 trays a week, has invested significantly in product design and the brand over recent years. The deal will see the new JTNATURALS Collection lead the export drive.

Paul Crossley, managing director of JT, said: "Over recent years, such deals have gone to companies in the Far East so this is a fine example of how the UK manufacturing industry with innovation and investment can compete.

"We are really excited about this partnership and looking forward to expanding in Germany, with a view to increasing our presence in other European and global markets."
