KCom appoints IT expert

TELECOMS group KCom has appointed Steve Humm, previously of Hewlett Packard and O2, as chief information officer.

Mr Humm joins the Hull-based company from Hewlett Packard where he was a director in application services. At KCom, he will be responsible for planning and delivering the group’s IT and communications strategy.

A graduate from the University of Bradford, Mr Humm has spent his career entirely in IT and communications roles.

He was the UK CIO at O2 UK for three years and from 2001 to 2003, he held the role as chief technology officer at Sunderland Football Club.
