Law firms in talks over merger

YORKSHIRE law firms Lupton Fawcett Lee & Priestley and Denison Till have announced that they are in merger talks.

Lupton Fawcett Lee & Priestley has offices in Leeds and Sheffield, while Denison Till is a long-established York firm.

If the merger goes ahead, the combined firm would have around 275 staff.

In a joint statement, the firms said: “Both firms are dedicated to the region’s mid market, providing wealth creation services to private and public limited companies in the region, while offering wealth preservation services to the proprietors of those businesses in their private capacit- ies.”

Richard Marshall, Lupton Fawcett Lee & Priestley’s managing director, said: “The Denison Till team have built a tremendous and high quality law firm serving the vibrant York and wider North and East Yorkshire markets. Combining our two businesses will create a tremendous platform to jointly better serve that market.”
