LCF Law and Barber Titleys reveal merger of practices

A Yorkshire Law firm with offices in Leeds, Bradford and Ilkley is merging with an established North Yorkshire practice.

LCF Law’s 95-strong team, who specialise in corporate, property, dispute resolution and personal law, will merge with Harrogate law firm Barber Titleys, which employs a team of 25.

Barber Titleys has a reputation for providing property, planning and personal legal advice to clients in Harrogate and North Yorkshire and operates from offices on North Park Road.

Simon Stell, managing partner at LCF Law, said: “We know the partners and many of Barber Titleys’ staff well, and have been aware of their first rate services and enviable reputation throughout Harrogate and beyond for a long time.

“The merger will extend our commercial law services to Harrogate and North Yorkshire based businesses whilst also strengthening our personal law team across all of our offices and adding new services such as planning law.”

Mr Stell added that the two firms have complementary services and share a common ethos.

He said: “The merger of the two firms will strengthen both businesses and increase skills, expertise and the range of legal services to all of the respective firms’ customers.”

LCF Law was established 26 years ago and recently underwent a major re-brand and relocation of its Bradford headquarters into an 11,000 square foot modern office space at One St James Business Park.

The firm operates under an Alternative Business Structure .

With further expansion of its commercial and property legal services in Leeds in 2015, LCF Law reported steady growth in staff numbers and a 15 per cent increase in turnover across all three offices over the last year.

Barber Titleys was created in 1997 by the merger of former firms Barber Robinson, which was established in 1880, and Titleys Paver-Crow and Fedden, which was established in 1883.

Barber Titleys employs 15 legal experts from its Harrogate office.
