Small business specialist Mr Langton said the firm is “delighted” to be part of the event, which is organised by Leeds Beckett University.

He said: “It’s an exciting time for small and medium businesses as a range of technologies and trends like cloud, mobility, big data and social come together to create more opportunities for business growth and success.

“The nature of work has changed and we are looking forward to sharing more on our vision for the future and what these changes and opportunities could mean for your business.”

Microsoft is “committed to supporting businesses across Yorkshire”, Mr Langton said.

The Yorkshire Post’s business editor Bernard Ginns will also speak at the event, which will be held at the newspaper’s city centre offices.

Mr Ginns will give insight into the growth and changing face of digital media, and how the title has boosted its online presence.

The rise of digital media dramatically changed news organisations in recent years, much in the way business has been transformed through technology, Mr Ginns said.

“Learning to work in this new environment is absolutely crucial to success,” he added.

The Leeds Enterprise Network is part of Leeds Beckett University’s Enterprise Services. To find out more and book a free place for the event, visit www.leedsenterprisenetwork.com.
