Limehouse aiming for the bigger picture as firm expands services

VIDEO production company Limehouse has moved into larger offices and has expanded its service offering.

Limehouse, which is celebrating its fifth anniversary, has opened its new offices in the Elsie Whiteley Innovation Centre in Halifax, and has become “a full service internal communications agency”. It was previously based in smaller premises at the centre.

The company, which has a ten-strong team, is on track to record a turnover of £900,000 in its current financial year, which finishes at the end of September.

Nick Howard, founder and managing director of Limehouse, said: “We’ve had five excellent years as a video specialist and are now working with some of the biggest names in the north, including Halifax, First Direct and Bettys & Taylors.

“More and more of our blue chip clients have been telling us they love our video work and would like to discuss additional remits outside video and film commissions, but we weren’t in a position to deliver. Since Tracy Keates joined us as director of strategic communication in January, after 20 years at Lloyds Banking Group, we’ve been able to open up these discussions and begun to provide additional consultancy and services.”

He added: “We’re incredibly excited about the new opportunities which will come as a result of this development. This is a shift in direction, but we’re certainly not losing our video roots. Video is one way of tackling a corporate communications challenge, but shouldn’t stand alone. We need to create the right message for the right audience and this may be by film, face-to-face roadshows, radio, publication, intranet, or a combination of many communications methods.”

Limehouse’s latest new business win is York-based CPP, an international life assistance business operating across 16 geographical markets.

For the first time the company used video to announce its interim results to the City and the firm is now working on an internal communication film for employees.
