Phil Dean, who has held senior roles at Communisis, Thompson Brand Partners and Attik, has been appointed managing director of Turn Key.

Founder Nik Entwistle said: “Phil is the ideal person to head up our expansion into London, he comes from a strong background of leading some of the biggest creative agencies in the country.”

Turn Key is an integrated agency, providing public relations, social media, digital design and development and creative services to clients including Great Lengths, Wild Turkey and Hammerson.

Mr Dean told The Yorkshire Post: “In our industry it is getting harder to get the bigger clients and bigger briefs because they tend to gravitate towards London.

“It is testament to the tenacity and talent of Turn Key that they have grown quite rapidly.

“In the Leeds agency scene, there are not many of that scale doing what they are doing.

“There has been some massive growth in digital and SEO for instance but other agencies have probably consolidated rather than grown. It is a changing picture.”

Mr Entwistle started Turn Key in 2000 after studying business management at Leeds Metropolitan University.

His company employs 45 people and plans to add another five in the coming months.
