Merger to see Jones on move

STAFF at property agency Jones Lang LaSalle in Leeds are expected to move to new premises later in the summer following its merger with rival King Sturge.

It is understood that staff at the firm’s office in St Pauls House, Park Square South, will move to City Point, where King Sturge is based.

King Sturge has occupied 12,250 sq ft on the top two floors at six-storey City Point since 2006.

The firm was previously based on one floor of Capitol House, Russell Street.

The offices include one floor with meeting rooms and client entertainment facilities and a second with open-plan offices, internet access at the canteen and plasma televisions.

The decision is understood to have been made due to the imminent expiry of Jones Lang LaSalle’s lease on St Pauls House.

Jeff Pearey has been appointed the head of the enlarged Leeds office of Jones Lang LaSalle while Colin Fell, former partner in charge of King Sturge, Leeds, is Yorkshire and North East regional chairman.

The deal sees all 43 King Sturge offices operating under the Jones Lang LaSalle brand.

Jones Lang LaSalle declined to comment.
