Dizzy Gillespie. As well as being an amazing musician he was a bit of a raconteur, so I reckon he would be a pretty good dinner companion.

Stop filling in questionnaires and do some work.

My Bradford City shirt. Because it is the only garment I have seen that makes claret and amber look good as a combination.

What was your worst mistake and why?

A long time ago, hiring my boss's daughter. Don't do it.

What is your favourite time of day and why?

Meal time; self-explanatory really.

What is the best thing about being in business in Yorkshire?

I really enjoy the collaborative attitude of this region, and the fact that people will put aside other interests in order to work on things that have a positive outcome for Yorkshire. I also love the fact that I work for a business that is trying to contribute to making Yorkshire more successful.

What would you like your epitaph be?

Martin was one of the good guys.
